Fun With Rhinestones

I had been wanting to try the Silhouette Rhinestones on a fabric album to see how well they worked for a long time and I finally did it. I LOVE IT! They were a breeze to apply and look great. I started with this t-shirt:

Since I already had the template cut, it took no time at all to creat the album:

Both projects were completed in less than an hour. I had so much fun making them, I am already thinking what I can create next!

If you are not familiar with the Silhouette SD, this is it:

The Silhouette SD is a digital cutting tool that connects to your computer just like a printer, but instead of printing designs it cuts them with a small blade. In addition to cutting designs on paper for your scrapbook pages and cards, you can do much more. Vinyl lettering, glass etching, heat transfer, and rhinestones are just some of the many possibilies. For my projects above, I started with this:

This kits included the alphabet template I needed to create Norah's name. The only extra supplies I added were the yellow rhinestones I picked up at our store and the soccer ball template I downloaded from the Silhouette website.

You have a few days to invite your friends before registration begins! This event has sold out the past several years, so do not wait!

*The Country Inn & Suites is located on Wilma Rudolph Blvd across from Logan's Road House Restaurant and Walmart. The crop will be held in their large meeting room.
**Your $25 fee will be required to register, of which $15 is non-refundable. If you need to cancel, you must do so at least ONE WEEK prior to the event (by April 24th and you will receive a $10 store credit. Any cancellation after April 24th will forfeit the total fee. You may register over the phone using a credit card.

Flower Soft

Join us Friday, March 26th, Noon-5pm for a FREE Make and Take featuring Flower Soft. Flower Soft is an amazing pot of coloured sprinkles, that allows you to create text, designs and miniature floral embellishments. We will be using it to embellish a stamped image on a card.

Here are a couple of examples created by Stacey using Flower Soft.
